Having Diane assist us throughout my wife's pregnancy (before, during and after) was one of the best decisions we've made.
There is so much knowledge and genuine warmth coming from Diane, I can't imagine anyone preparing for this experience without her.
Of course you can just "pop out a kid...." maybe spend a few hundred dollars or a hundred hours scouring the Internet, reading all the "baby babble...."
But if you want to be prepared for anything, have the safest birth possible and understand all the inside "scoop" of the "birthing business...," - then you MUST hire Diane. I'm not kidding... after 10 plus years experience... and working around town, she knows EVERYTHING.... Just allaying the innate fears my wife had and spending all day at the hospital with us was worth the expense.
